  1. Hi all! I'm a landlord and have a great property manager, Fiona, up in Glasgow, but I've heard many complaints in the past about other property managers.   2. Thanks @haf1963. It seems like a very similar situation to ours. We did review the legal pack but they did not disclose this info unfortunately. In the future we should get our solicitor to review but it did take them 27 days to get this info so doesn't seem like this timeline will ever work for an auction purchase.
  3. Hi All, We've just bought our second BTL property in Glasgow through Future Auctions (although outside auction). We purchased for £40k with Home Report being £60k, so quite a bargain (or not). We knew that the property would have some glitches we would need to take care of but one day before the deadline to complete, the seller's solicitor sent our solicitor all the documentation which had a surprise.   5. Hi All, I've been listening to R&R for a couple of years now but first time on this forum. Hopefully I can get some help. I live in London in rented accommodation and have just bought my first property £65k) in Scotland through a limited company set up with a friend. I'm concerned that by purchasing this property I may now be impacted by the new stamp duty surcharge of 3% when it comes to buy a property for me to live in. Assuming this will be in London would mean that it would cost me a min of £10-15k in tax which would spoil the benefits of my limited company investment.
