I have a studio Council property that I want to exercise right to buy on but my wife and are are expecting a baby soon so we are also looking into buying a bigger property.
Wonder if anyone knows if I will be hit with high rate stamp duty on second property or my wife can buy that alone as her first home
I have been getting confusing advice so I just want to establish the following
1. Will my wife be able to buy the second property on her own as a first time buyer if I do not include her in my right to buy
2. If the property we hope she can buy in her name will be treated as a second home because we are married.
3. Would it make any difference if I do not include her or she does not includes me in applications or we are counted as one because of marriage
