    I'm a retired solicitor (very early retirement!) having run a department in a law firm in Edinburgh and litigated within the housing and property sectors for over two decades. I formerly acted for a number of housing associations and private landlords. Before law I worked for a property developer in the North of England. All useful training!
  • Property investment interests
    My investment areas are varied (at present), but HMOs in Glasgow look attractive. I am also interested in acquiring certain commercial units. I am not adverse to joint ventures either....
  • My skills
    My skills are principally legal (property litigation) and I like to think that I'm OK at PR! I am tried and tested at getting problem tenants out, but need to learn how to get them in! I also have useful health & safety knowledge as the other side of my legal practice was Personal Injury Litigation (lots of residential property claims!).

    Travel, hill walking, F1, family.

  1. Good evening all. I am a new investor, in Glasgow. I have a four bed flat in Hillhead and a five bed which I am in the process of acquiring. I am entering the HMO market, setting up a limited company and intend to grow a portfolio. I was formally a litigation solicitor in the property/landlord and tenant sector.
