  1. Boris Johnson has pledged to revamp property tax. They’re just considerations right now but he’s looking at: Increasing the SDLT threshold from £125,000 to £500,000 Reduce SDLT rates for homes £1.5m+ from 12% to 7% The vendor to pay SDLT instead of the buyer While I’m sure we’d all love to see the 3% BTL surcharge wiped out, there’s not been any noises of this happening - but that doesn’t mean it’s not quietly being considered (we can hope!) Zoopla have published a full run-down of proposals here. What do we think? What changes would you really like to see come to fruition?
  2. Hi James The Robs did a recent video about property investment courses that will be worth you having a watch of.
  3. Hi Jon I'm sure other investors will be along shortly to offer their experience, but Rob & Robs recent hotspot video might help you out on spotting areas to focus on. I'd also recommend researching the Ripple Effect as once you know how to spot emerging areas, you'll be able to potentially buy at the lower end and benefit from higher yields whilst also considering future capital growth prospects. This podcast is a great starting point: https://propertyhub.net/podcast/using-the-ripple-effect-to-find-the-next-property-hotspot/
  4. Hi Wilson The Robs did a video about this topic recently with might be worth a watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn4QoH5nMHQ
  5. Hi Megatron The capacity was indeed there, but volumes far exceeded what we anticipated which has naturally meant a delay in clients being contacted. We fully appreciate this hasn't been a great experience for some and we're constantly evaluating what it is that can be done better. The teams are working around the clock to deal with the influx but if you have any urgent matters in the meantime, feel free to email hello@propertyhub.net with your details and we'll see what we can do.
  6. In all honesty, Dennis is spot on! Demand has been far higher than we ever imagined. We really are sorry to anyone who's had difficulty so far - please be assured that the team are working as quickly as they possibly can. If you have any issues whatsoever, please email us at hello@propertyhub.net and we'll see if we can fast track any urgent enquiries where deadlines are looming.
