  1. Hi Benjamin, In terms of area of land/plot, a simple tool is google earth. This can calculate the area by the measure tools for distance and area. Any other queries please shout. Chris
  2. Naked Finance: business finance pure and simple by David Meckin, is very good. The way it is explained makes it so easy to understand.
  3. Good afternoon all, With all that is/or isn't happening during lock down I'd like to offer some free help. I'm a self employed project controls engineer which involves detailed project management plans and reporting. This involves building logic based gantt charts, critical paths, manning graphs, cost reports etc. Basically I like planning software and excel far too much! If your current systems would require a second opinion I'm happy to help? I can provide some advice / templates that could improve your current setup. Give me a shout and we can discuss. Stay safe,
  4. Hello all, I have a potential deal to purchase three neighboring terrace houses and I'm interested in combing them into a large HMO. Has anyone done anything similar? I'm going to contact the local council for their opinion and advice too. These are in a block of three so I'm hopeful if these are developed correctly I could get these onto a commercial mortgage. I'd also appreciate any recommendations for a property solicitor who has experience in this area. All good fun! Thanks in advance, Chris
  5. Hi Rob, I could be able to help knock a spreadsheet together in order to plug these variables into? I work on large manufacturing projects day to day as a project controller so these things I'm comfortable building in Excel. Drop me a message with your email/number and we can talk this over. Chris Whittaker
  6. Hi Richard, Fellow newbie to the forum too. I use excel on a daily basis (all day!) and analyse large data sets in my role. Happy to hear more and see if we could help each other? Chris Intro link here https://thepropertyhub.net/forum/topic/9929-hello-hubbers/
  7. Hello all, I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the property hub community. Personally and non property related - I'm 30, live in Mid Cheshire with my partner and our two young boys. I'm a self employed project planner with experience of contracting on large international engineering/manufacturing projects across different sectors. In terms of property to date, we've purchased our first residential property this year, which was a big milestone for us This took an age due to my lack of limited company accounts history due to going self
