  1. My property management company (letting agent) sends my invoices via post and seem to be doing things the old-fashioned way. I really wish they would modernise a little bit. I have written to them a second time about emailing invoices to me as a PDF document. Just wondering how many of you are in the same boat. Hi there, My home is currently empty as it is undergoing refurbishment The council no longer offer an empty property council tax discount I am not sure if I am at the correct tax band I saw that Martin Lewis recently advised that we can check this online and that many homes are not on the correct tax band My query is that if I am at a lower band than I should be and wish to apply for the single person discount (25%), would doing so put me at risk of being being put in a higher band?   5. Hi there, Please can someone advise me on what I will need to do to get the energy bills in my name. For instance, there is water and electricity supply in the property after the previous owners have left. 1) Would this now be payable by me as I am the new occupant at the address? 2) I would like to choose my energy supplier and tariff. Do I need to contact the existing suppliers? 3) How do I go about doing this? 4) Council tax If anyone can provide some advice or a dummies guide on what to do when moving in, it would be of great help.
