  1. Hello and thank you for your response. Do you know which SIC code is needed for investing in a REIT please? Thank you, Ryan
  2. Hello everyone, Did you use a service to set up a Limited Company in order to invest in property or did you just register the company yourself? Which service did you use to set it up or what guide did you follow to set it up manually? Thank you, Ryan
  3. Hello all, I am also interested in investing in BTL in the South East. How has your experience been investing in Ashford, Folkestone, or Ramsgate? I am looking at a 1 bed flat in the areas. Cheers, Ryan
  4. Hello all, I've listened to all of The Property Hub podcast and now a new forum member. I am based in Kent but as a keen mountain biker spend some time in Wales, in particular Afan Forest. I am interested in buying a property that requires a refurb close to the Afan Forest Mountain Bike Trail Centre with the hope to do it up and run it as a Holiday Let for mountain bikers and hikers. I was looking at smaller villages such as Cymmer, or possibly larger towns like Maesteg and Neath. Putting Covid to one side, my hesitation is that bookings will be much slower during the winter months and during the week year round, does anyone have experience doing a similar thing in the area? I was also thinking Port Talbot might be a safer option as it’s still close to Afan but has the additional advantage of being a larger town with the beach and promenade with good Buy To Let fundamentals, meaning it could provide a plan B option if the bookings aren’t steady enough? Any insights, recommendations, or thoughts are welcomed! Thank you, Ryan
  5. Hello, Thank you for taking the time to reply, that is very helpful, thanks! Cheers, Ryan
  6. Hello everyone, I hope you're well! I'm not sure if I'm in the right place for questions about my own home mortgage, if not I can remove the post. It's my first time remortgaging and I have a few questions. When we purchased the property 5 years ago we completely gutted the house back to bare brick, re-plastered, fitted new bathrooms, new kitchen, all new fixings, and gave it a fresh coat of paint. When remortgaging for when the 5-year fixed term ends should we pay to have the place valued in the hope that we've increased its value to get a better LTV ratio on the new mortgage product? Which mortgage broker would you recommend for the remortgage? When we purchased the property we used London & Country but I've since heard it's better to go with a broker that I paying rather than a fee-free broker like L&C, is this true? I've recently heard of Habito online mortgage broker, would you recommend them? Sorry for the newbie questions and thank you as always for such a great community! Cheers, Ryan
