  1. Hi All, Looking for some guidence from anyone else has done this please. Mortgage company won't lend on plot larger than 2 acres. House we are buying is 10 acres in total. 1 acre of house/gardens, 9 acres field rented to farmer. So we have agreed the land will be purchased for cash and the house bought using a mortgage. This means the deeds need to be split at the same time as we buy the property. So the mortgage company can put a charge on their bit. I'm not getting clear answers from anyone, and the book is being passed about. How have others done this, on completion? How does it need
