  1. Hello All, About Me: I am a 30 year old looking at getting into BTL for long term growth, have read plenty of material, books, podcasts etc. Being a home owner myself, we bought below market value and have done a refurbishment and added equity to our primary residence although this isn't the particular route i want to go down I learned a lot in the process. I am an Engineer within the Merchant Navy industry and work 3 months on/off so have plenty of time to spend on building my strategy and portfolio. Main reason for post, was supposed to be at the Southampton
  2. Hi there, I am grateful for property investment education provided by Property Hub and members in this forum. This is my first post and please forgive my ignorance on property matters. I am new and I have been reading non stop for the last couple of days. I am writing this post to clarify my ideas and would be grateful if someone could reason with me. I live in Hampshire with £30.000 in savings, a joint income of just over £70,000 per annum and rent a housing association property. My plan is to invest into a BLT property with the aim to achieve annual profit to replace joint income and be
  3. Hi Everyone, Im about to ask a question that i'm sure is posted on here on a daily basis but no matter how many pods i listen too or how many articles i read i find my head spinning and unable to make a decision.... maybe i'm suffering from analysis paralysis? The Facts: Im 25 and own my own house (with a mortgage) i have £35,000 ready to invest and could potentialy take some more equity out of my current home if i needed to about another £15K. I Live in Portsmouth and i know everyones stats and saying my area is probably the worst place to invest for capital growth right
  4. Hi All, Me (25) and my wife (22) are thinking about buying a property. I currently Work in Chandlers Ford as A design Engineer and we live in Eastleigh. We are starting to look at properties this weekend but wanted your opinion on where to buy. Budget: 250k max probably more around 200k We have been thinking of trying to get a property close to Eastleigh Train Station. Chandlers Ford is also an option but is slightly more expensive. I don't think i'm as keen on buying in Portswood but I could be wrong. Basically I don't know the area well enough to know 100%
  5. Hi all, Thought i would introduce myself! I am a newbie to the property game. I completed my first flip very recently and i was incredibly happy with the outcome. I am now in a new project and enjoying the journey so far. I work a 9-5 office job and carry out the majority off the work on the properties myself. So, yes, a lot of late nights and anti-social weekends but i really do enjoy it! I invest in 3 bed semi-detached properties on the Surrey/Hampshire border. My current project is in Yateley, Hampshire. Thanks for taking the time to read my
  6. Hello all, I am ready to meet with a Mortgage Adviser and prepare a buy to let mortgage for my newly registered limited company. Can anyone recommend a broker in Hampshire? if it was Portsmouth, Havant, Fareham area then even better Many thanks! Ben
  7. Hi! I'm Will, I'm 27 and am based down in Hampshire/London at the moment. I have long had an interest in property as an investment but am only now in a position to buy something on my own. My first experience with property was in 2011 and it was a joint venture with my parents. We bought in Kings Cross (I own 25% - costing £150k) and it is doing very well thanks to all the local redevelopment. My primary goal is to work up through the property ladder so that I have somewhere nice to live and be mortgage free. Depending on my success I may treat this a serious venture; and put off
