Hi, I'm selling my 2 bed house in Manchester and all was set up and ready for completion, when buyer was furloughed in beginning of March. Her bank didn't approve the mortgage until she goes back to work. Will bank release the mortgage money as soon as she will go back to work? Or does she have to bring few payslips after she starts to work to prove that she can afford the mortgage? While waiting for buyer to go back to work, I am thinking about plan B. Hi I am an Australian in Australia and visit the UK at least annually. My goals are to generate enough capital to one day get my own holiday foothold for retirement. I am ready to purchase a BTL having established a UK bank account recently and have an Australian loan sitting in the bank ready to go but have a few questions with regard to costs and specifically apartments. Any ball park figures, percentages or tips gratefully received. What sort of building insurance is required for an apartment since you don't own the building?
