  1. Hi everyone, We're a friendly bunch of people who are passionate about property and meet up on the first Thursday of every month to have an informal chat, from BTLs to land purchases. If anyone is interested in joining us, we meet at The Cuckoo, Alwalton (just outside of Peterborough) and our next meeting will be Thursday 7th March at 7pm. Space is limited so please sign up using this link to confirm your place: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-property-meet-up-tickets-58990332673 We have also started a Facebook group to continue the discussion: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2295980247306068/ We look forward to meeting some of you! Abby
  2. Who wants to join me on a property course (booking includes bring a guest so im looking to split cost!) in Cambridge 28-30 July? I'm about to book a 3 day UK Property Investment course through Legacy. Despite reading on here about most of these course providers trying to push you into further courses; I still think it would be a good starting point for me (a novice) to gain some extra knowledge and be motivated enough to finally take the plunge on something I have been contemplating for far too long, which is investing in property... Going to the free seminar I have already realised that although the presenters are a bit pushy; the actual information provided is very useful and educational. It's rather expensive though at £997, although according to the schedule it is a full packed 9-7 each day and you do get to bring a guest included in the price. I would really like to do it, and just wondered if there is anyone on here interested in being my 'guest' and splitting the training cost? It is this coming weekend though so you've got to be able to be in Cambridge Friday-Sunday. Hope to hear from some of you soon.

  4. Hello, Been soaking up the knowledge of the Property Hub, Property Podcast and Property Geek for a while now and thought it was time to introduce myself. I am currently in the process of releasing funds from an overseas property investment to allow me to start a BTL portfolio (and potentially development projects) in the Cambridge area or North London (if I can afford it) hence my research is focused on these areas at the moment. My day job is in construction project management and I am an Engineer by qualification hence the development side appeals to me and will hopefully form part of my goals once I have a couple of BTLs under my belt. Would be keen to network with other investors in the area. Thanks, Nigel
  5. Hi Everyone, My names Emma, I have been working in the private rental sector for 5 years and I have experience in all aspects of the letting industry. My current role is as the General Manager for a leading letting agency operating out of franchises in both Peterborough and Cambridge. The focus of my role is overseeing the day to day operations of the business, business development, future planning and to help new and existing clients to build and improve their property portfolios. I am passionate about all aspects of the letting industry, but especially buy to let and helping clients, family, friends and acquaintances select properties and find a property solution that will maximise their investment. I completed a level 4 diploma in Residential Lettings and Property Management a couple of years ago and I am currently working towards Associate membership of RICs and joining ARLA at fellow grade. I've joined the Property Hub to get involved in discussions, share knowledge, learn some new things and hopefully help others to with their property portfolios. I hope to speak to you soon Emma
