  1. Hi, I’m currently looking at Bridlington as a potential investment area, simply from a cashflow perspective. Like most seaside towns, I’m aware that it may have issues with employments and drugs but putting those aside, I’d love to hear from someone that has either invested in Bridlington or perhaps has lived there or in the proximity previously. I live down South in Brighton and I’ve never even been to Bridlington, so I of course have quite a bit of research to do myself, but before delving deep into it, I just wanted to see if there was any advice on here. I’m currently looking at self contained flats around the harbour and the yield is very impressive, however, it won’t be that impressive if the properties sit empty or if I have bad tenants! Doing some very casual armchair research I can see that the demand on spare room etc is relatively good and the properties that I’m looking at already have long term tenants. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks again for your time. James
  2. Hello Everyone. I am completely new to the property hub forum, but I have been listening to the podcast for well over a year. I currently live in Weymouth in a 4 bedroom semi detached house, of which two of the rooms I rent out to my mates. I am starting to build up a good amount of capital and I am looking to invest ideally within a 30-40 minute drive of where I live. I have a budget of between £130-150k. I have seen a some opportunities in Weymouth, however most deals I have looked at struggle to achieve much more then a 10-12% ROI. Was wondering if anyone else lives around this area or has any tips or advice regarding potential hot spots in the Dorset/Devon/Somerset/Hampshire area that has the potential for higher returns for this sort of budget? Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy my first BTL investment property over the next six months - ideally a one/two bedroom apartment, and I've been looking into purchasing in Liverpool or Sheffield to maximise the potential for capital growth over the next five years. The budget is around £130,000. Yields are important to me but more important is capital growth to allow me to grow my portfolio. Can anyone recommend specific areas within Liverpool and/or Sheffield that are particularly desirable and have a high demand for rentals? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
