I have a Ltd property company for simple BTLs. I am looking at investing some surplus cash into peer to peer property funds. It would be preferable (from a tax perspective) to lend from my company and the company earns the interest. My accountant has indicated that this is fine. I wonder whether there may be adverse consequences from mortgage lenders if the Ltd company is engaged in this activity? Do any hubbers have experience of this?

Can someone help? First time post!! I am looking to buy off plan in Manchester. Apartment is on 19th floor. Will be buying through a Co and some shares in the Company will be owned by a trust. So far lenders are saying no to the trust. Finally found one that was comfortable with the trust but they said no to the high floor. Does anyone know of a broker/lender that would be comfortable with this kind of purchase/purchase vehicle?? Many thanks for any help in advance.

Hi everyone, I need some advice on obtaining a mortgage as a foreigner. I've finally saved up a deposit and am ready to get the first BTL property of my (hopefully) future portfolio. After speaking to a couple of brokers however, I've come across quite a challenge. As I am not a British or European, I am being told there are no BTL mortgage products available to me. I'm a New Zealander living and working in the UK and a full time UK resident. I'm here on an ancestry visa that lasts for 5 years, of which I'm in year 4. In spring 2016 I will have Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)s
