  1. Hi I've lived in this flat since January and have never even met the landlord let alone live with him though he is claiming I'm a lodger so he can evict me with shorter notice dodging the covid 19 legislation. What can I do. The contract is called a lodgers agreement but he doesn't love in the building I live in Bristol he lives in London. Help
  2. My first post.... My wife and I have decided to buy a flat for our eldest son to live in while he is at University in Dundee. We are buying a 2-bed flat (cash purchase) so he will have one room and the plan is for him to get a flatmate for the other room. We think that a Lodger Agreement would be preferable for the flatmate. My son and his flatmate will both pay rent and they will cover the bills. We will pay the landlord costs - insurance, maintenance etc. We haven't completed on the purchase yet but expect to do so by July 2016. Questions.... Given the brief scenario above is the use of a Lodger Agreement preferable to other methods? Do we need to put anything in place for our son to be able to use a Lodger Agreement for the flatmate? Should we need to put in place paperwork for our son to pay his share? Thanks in advance
