Hi all. I am due to exchange on a property shortly. Me and my SO got our mortgage offer just after returning to work from Furlough after the first national lockdown. Our jobs are totally safe but we risk being furloughed again if this lockdown is extended. We requested to complete before the end of this month incase we are furloughed next month as our mortgage lender will withdraw their offer if we're furloughed. We've now been told that we cant complete till the start of next month and they want to us to exchange at the end of this month. I am scared to exchange contracts then find out
Hello, I am currently in the process of buying a new build house. We Exchanged contracts with the builder in November 19 with the estimated completion date being 28/02/20. This was then delayed to 28/03/20 because of bad weather. Then it was delayed to 24/04/20 because of health and safety reasons (reason being the scaffolding on the house next door needs to be completely down before they can allow us to move in). Then on the 24/03/20 Covid 19 happened and the builder shut. No work on site or anything. We had a mortgage offer granted in October 19 in which it would expire
Hi all, This is my first question that I'm posting. I hope to get a perspective from you. We have reserved our second property ( via RMP ) in the centre of Manchester and super super excited . I'm working with one of the best brokers in the country and we initially applied for the BTL mortgage with Barclays as it had the most attractive rate. Barclays didn't approve application and didn't explain why which is their right by very very annoying. Now we have applied with a different lender BM Solutions and the application is in progress. Broker said application should be fine how
