macy_skibo 0
Hello, My wife and I are planning to buy a property in B’ham in Q1 2020. We’ve been researching city centre and we haven’t found anything super interesting (there are loads of flats, but most with lease ~100y and high service charge), so we’ll target a house in the suburbs. We don’t know well B’ham beyond the city centre, so wondering if somebody could give us some recommendation for the most suitable neighbourhoods. Thanks!! What we’re looking for: - Good transport links - As close as possible to city centre - Attractive to professionals - Doesn’t need to be the best place in the world, but should be considered safe, middle-upper class. - Ideally, 2 or 3 bed houses in the region of 250-300k. Hope we are not asking too much :). Thanks again!! Mike Link to post
conrad_paton 105
Hi macy_skibo I posted up a response on this thread recently on a topic of researching areas. It was about Manchester, but my advice would stay the same for any town or city. Have a read. ^^ Conrad. macy_skibo 0
Thank you very much, Conrad. I found your post very motivating!! We live in London, so I think we should arrange a few long weekends in Birmingham to get to know the city and the property market there. Mike Link to post
conrad_paton 105
Hi Mike I've booked my place in the East London Hub meet up in December. If you fancy picking my brains some more, why don't you come down? Conrad Conrad Paton +44 7957 959851 conradpaton@yahoo.co.uk https://www.linkedin.com/in/conrad-paton-424446110 Link to post

pezza832 0
With a budget like £300k I'd try somewhere like Kings Heath or Moseley. Young families, post-grads, bohemian, loads of cool restaurants, bars and shops. HMO could be the way to go. Good luck! Link to post
