Suggestions please for property accountant.

Hi all.

It is high time that we engaged the services of an accountant to help us navigate the tricky waters of the property world !

A summary of our position:

• We own a retail business that has been trading for about twelve years.
• In October 2017 we commenced holiday letting in an attached annexe, this is ongoing.
• In October 2018 we purchased our first property which was in need of total refurbishment, this was finally let in August, 2019.
• In January 2019 we purchased our second property which is being refurbished and will be let in the new year.
• We are currently sourcing further properties and awaiting the results of offers made.
• We are based in North Dorset and would ideally like to have the occasional face to face - especially initially to sort out the best way of streamlining the four sets of books I am currently maintaining, we use Quickbooks.

I've not used them myself but I do hear (apart from price) good things about http://rita4rent.co.uk/

I use Rita 4 Rent for both property and trading company accounts. They've been very helpful and responsive (especially compared to previous accountants). For example, I'd have a query and ping an email in the early evening after work and usually wouldn't expect a response until the next day, however I'd receive a response within an hour. So although they're a bit more expensive, their service and knowledge is good.
