ashley14 1
Hi Everyone, Writing on here to make myself more accountable. My name's Ashley, and I'm a wannabe investor, based in Birmingham, England. I'm currently learning more about property investment, seeing the hub and the podcast as a great way to learn more on the subject! I'm currently listening right from the start (on episode 42, only another 400 or so to go!) to make my hour and a half commute to work more bearable. My aim, by the end of listening to all the podcasts, is to have built up enough cash to start on my journey. I am involved in construction as a Quantity Surveyor, but as a carpenter by trade, who fitted kitchens and bathrooms for a living, I feel I stand a fighting chance! My goal is to buy houses below market value, make them sparkle and keep them as BTL's. Alternatively, if i cannot get the % requirement, flip them to attain a profit, to then move onto the next one. The big target is to become financially free, and out of the rat race FOREVER! If you've read this, thanks for reading my inner monologue, and wish you all the best in your property journey. Many Thanks, Ashley Link to post

I’ve been listening to the podcast for a few years, but never consistently. Actually listening and getting involved here as a “Newbie”! Link to post

If you would like to join then send me your number and I’ll add you in Hi Mark, Came here as I’m very interested in property renovation, as I’m a carpenter by trade. I specialised in disabled wet rooms, which in turn, turned into fitting DDA compliant kitchens and bathrooms, too. Grew tired of being “on the tools” so to speak, worked as an assistant site manager for a well known large house builder but then went onto uni, graduated as a Quantity Surveyor, which is currently what I now do for a living, for a specialist Drylining, Decoration and Rendering works. I’ve been enticed to here due to wanting to find out how to turn my passion into a long term solution for finance! Many Thanks, Ashley Link to post

Thank you David, hardest thing so far is raising capital! Sadly, seems just a time constraint. Looking forward to getting started. david slater 1 Link to post
