winston_s 1
Hi I am thinking of buying a house that has been converted into two flats. The estate agent has only listed photos and video footage of one of the flats . I asked for a viewing and was told that due to the tenant working with vulnerable adults that I could not see the flat until my offer was accepted. It seems strange to make an offer on a property I haven't viewed. Has anyone else had this experience? Link to post
Mark Rocks 24
Hi Winston Just wondering whether the estate agent has given you the opportunity to view the property yet? Mark Mark Rocks Community Builder and Content Writer www.propertyhub.net Link to post
winston_s 1
Hi Mark We were able to see the ground floor flat but not upstairs. There were a few issues with the property. We've had an offer accepted on another house, also converted into two flats, that in my opinion is a better investment. Cheers Winston Mark Rocks 1 Link to post
julia urquhart 155
Whilst I understand the agents viewpoint I don't believe anyone should buy a property without seeing it first - mind you plenty seem to at auction! Mark Rocks 1 Link to post

Normally, if you aren't allowed to see a property, the vendor is hiding something. 95% of people won't buy without viewing, so why stop people from viewing? If the vendor wanted, he could find a way to get people to view. He could hold an open house when the vendor is out of the property. winston_s 1 _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Vin Gupta Property Investor and Developer UK Property Blog: https://evolutionblogger.com/article/uk-property-articles Travel Blog: https://soulfultravelguy.com/ Link to post
