georgie-h 0
Hi everyone, hope you're all keeping well. I'm brand new to property investment and while I've done so much learning around the subject (thanks to all at Property Hub and you guys on this forum) and can't wait to get started, I now need to build a power team from scratch. It feels like quite an undertaking so I'd really appreciate your recommendations please. I'm looking for: Tradespeople/builders in Nottingham Mortgage broker (ideally specialising in funding for property investments) Property Sourcer Tax advisor/accountant, again ideally specialising in property Any recommendations would be extremely welcome! Thanks in advance. George Link to post

EvolutionBlogger 60
Hello Georgie. Here are my suggestions Use CheckATrade or MyBuilder to find good tradespeople. You can see lots of historical reviews You can search for mortgage brokers at unbiased.co.uk I would be weary about property sourcers, as a lot of them know less than you With an accountant, I would just go to Google and set up some calls with local people. Just ask if they have a lot of landlords as clients _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Vin Gupta Property Investor and Developer UK Property Blog: https://evolutionblogger.com/article/uk-property-articles Travel Blog: https://soulfultravelguy.com/ Link to post
ryan85 12
Hi Georgie Just some additional points to what Evolution Blogger noted; Tradespeople/builders in Nottingham - Most towns will have there own local newspaper or magazine. They will often have advertisements for local trades people. You can generally pick up these publications in the local newsagents. Mortgage broker (ideally specialising in funding for property investments) - Try Cyborg Finance Property Sourcer - Stay clear. Not manage to find a decent one yet! Tax advisor/accountant - I would definitely advise on setting up a few meetings with some local ones. I met my eventual accountant twice before deciding to go with them. I found the ones who embrace technology to be useful. That way more things can be done remotely. Consider things like the use of Quickbooks Best of Luck Ryan Link to post
challisj 26
Noticed that this thread has come back to life after a few weeks. I run a free networking event (now online) for Nottingham Property Investors. We have a number of dedicated tradesmen and Pros (mortgage brokers, B2L accountant) all focused on our needs. Search Eventbrite for "Nottingham Property Circle" to see more details. Or if you want to know more about the great teams that we have one board and the services that myself offer please just get in touch directly. PS: Where are you based? The Nottingham Meetup takes place on the first Thursday of every month, find out more here Link to post
