DavidH82 21
Hi all, We all hear on TV, on the radio, in the papers and on property podcast about buying at auction, but, where are all of these auctions taking place and how do we get hold of the catalogues? I have searched many times on the web and never seem to find anything more than a few small sales, and barely any have any decent online catalogues. The best I have found and always refer back to is Clive Emson http://www.cliveemson.co.uk/ , but I am keen to find others. So, if any other members know of other sites that have a good online catalogue or catalogues that are easy to get hold of then please comment and share below. Many thanks. David. John Tat 8
hi David I keep an eye on the folowing: Savills (London based but have property from around the country) http://auctions.savills.co.uk/ Allsops - again London based with nationwide http://www.allsop.co.uk/services/auctions/ Barnard Marcus (not used this one as much) http://www.barnardmarcusauctions.co.uk/index.html the three above are all free Fox and Sons (South East) http://www.foxandsonsauctions.co.uk/ I think you have to pay for the catalog - we bought a flat from these guys in Feb 2014 and got "stitched" up with some nasty hidden (to us) purchase costs (about £3k)... and if you are really serious sign up for EIG - allegedly they "host" most of the auctions sites and provide an "umbrella" service but I haven't used them yet. I did speak with them last year about the costs but I can't remember now... https://www.eigroup.co.uk/ regards, John Jason McClean, David White, DavidH82 and 1 other 4 Link to post

Jason McClean 65
Really interesting list coming off the back of this, thanks to you all! I've never flipped a property before but well worth a consideration if I can find the right one at the right price. jonathan hulatt 13
Further to John's post, I use https://www.eigroup.co.uk/onlineauctions/ to research any upcoming auctions. They do host most or you can just head to the auctioneer's own website to watch (or bid in some cases) online. Jon. The Bristol meetup takes place on the first Thursday of every month, find out more here Link to post
