Hi

I am very interested in supportive living accommodation strategy (letting property via charities) and would be grateful for any directions

provided - where to start, what kind of accommodation would be most suited for this purpose, any advantages/disadvantages and etc. Thank you.

Hi @lin_c

Funnily enough, this is the second post about Supported Housing Accommodation we've had on the forum this week. Maybe this is becoming a more popular property strategy.

I think a good first port of call for you would be to read the Government's National Statement of Expectation for Supported Housing Accomodation; https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/supported-housing-national-statement-of-expectations/supported-housing-national-statement-of-expectations

It's quite a comprehensive document, but it goes into detail on what's expected of you in order to provide safe and good supported housing. Have a look through that and you'll be able to tell whether the effort that's required is something you're comfortable with.
