Mark Rocks
Last week, Starling Bank announced its first acquisition, of the buy-to-let specialist mortgage lender, Fleet Mortgages; https://www.starlingbank.com/news/starling-bank-acquires-mortgage-lender-fleet-mortgages/ Fleet Mortgages focuses on providing mortgages to professional and semi-professional buy-to-let landlords, only via mortgage adviser distribution channels. It's an interesting announcement given that Starling is an online-only bank - do we think this is moving mortgageability into a more innovative space? Definitely seems quite modern and moving away from the typical idea of having to go into an old institution of a bank in order to get your mortgage. david slater, daryljgriffin, diane and 1 other 3 1 Mark Rocks Community Builder and Content Writer www.propertyhub.net Link to comment
Guest
And yet it’s so far taken them over two weeks to open my Limited company as all they keep asking for is for me to prove my source of funds?? Without having bank details I can’t even apply for my remortgage for the first limited company purchase……….. Not impressed so far. Link to comment

I use starling for my business (not property related) and I have a BTL with fleet. Fleet is a great lender - they are pragmatic with property that is unconventional. Starling is an exceptional bank - technology led, and you can do everything without having to call them up all the time! A good match in my eyes! harry_m and aminab 2 Link to comment

EvolutionBlogger
It can only be a good thing. Starling is an ambitious organisation, and it would be great to have them in the But to Let space _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Vin Gupta Property Investor and Developer UK Property Blog: https://evolutionblogger.com/article/uk-property-articles Travel Blog: https://soulfultravelguy.com/ Link to comment
liz_la
Late to the party a bit on this one, but will be interesting to see how they go about improving the customer experience on BtL mortgages. It must be where they're headed. What are the big things they could change? Link to comment
