According to the latest rental report from Zoopla, the average UK monthly rent is now £969.

The 2021 Q4 report from Zoopla was released today, and the figures show signs of strong demand for city centre living. Some of the key stats:

• 14 days - The average time it takes to let out a property in the UK.
• £969 - The UK average for monthly rent (up £62 from pre-pandemic).
• +8.3% - Annual increase in UK rents.

“Rental demand has risen strongly amid increased activity in city centres, but supply is still constrained, leading to the fastest growth in rents in Q4 than at any time over the last 13 years” - Gráinne Gilmore - Head of Research, Zoopla.

Judging by the results, Zoopla experts are expecting rental growth to gradually slow throughout 2022.
