karim
My leasehold Maisonette (2 flats in a mid terrace property) has a new freeholder. The previous freeholder did ask me via email if I wanted to buy the freehold. I did make an offer and was passed some company details, however I asked her to deal with my son, as he manages my affairs. The company that they proposed I deal with didnt have any email/telephone details so I couldnt contact them. Now the new freeholder has made themselves known to me. What are my rights to purchase the freehold? Thank you Karim Link to comment
Kerry Chan
Hi @karim What you are enquiring is your right of first refusal. The Leasehold Advisory Service has a decent article about this: Right of First Refusal - The Leasehold Advisory Service (lease-advice.org). If you would like to discuss further, please do get in touch. For the avoidance of doubt, the above (a) does not constitute legal advice (and no lawyer-client relationship is formed in any way) and (b) is set out for your reference only. Kerry Link to comment
