Experienced Landlord looking to move into HMO properties - North West

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am an experienced landlord, based in Manchester, but with properties across the North West.

I am considering moving in to HMO's as the yields seem fairly attractive.

I have no issue with the tenancy side of things, and appreciate that they can be much more labour intensive dependent on which end of the market you aim for, but this is not something that concerns me as I was a police officer in a former life, and have a great deal of experience dealing with a whole range of 'problems'

To start, I would probably look in and around Manchester as this is the area, I know best, and then with experience, and if viable for me, I would look to expand into the other towns/cities where I have other properties.

Any advice or information from HMO landlords would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Warren

Hi Warren how did you get on with HMO`s, i am a landlord of 18yrs and was thinking the same as you.

I have been looking at the north east, i have not bought anything yet, my main concerns is the aggravation element that comes with the territory.

I would be interested to know how you are getting on.
