Flat Conversion - Title Deed

Hi all, 

 

I’m new to the forum and I bring with me what I hope is a simple question - if i convert a single family house that i own into two flats, do i need to do anything in respect of the title deed of the property (i.e. does it need to be amended to reflect the fact that the property is now two flats)? 

 

My gut feeling is yes, but i have no idea how i would go about this. Of course i could seek legal advice but i thought i’d try and get a freebie from my fellow hubbers.
