ASK46:

How do I raise the funds to flip?

This week on Ask Rob & Rob, Brian from Birmingham…

Asks Rob & Rob how do I raise the funds to flip?

In this week’s episode, Rob & Rob discuss how to raise additional funds to finance your first flip.

Rob D starts off by talking about the potential options to finance the flip with bridging finance, but adds that it is crucial that given the fees involved, you must have your numbers all figured out so you can be sure the profit is there to accommodate this. Rob goes on to say that you can sometimes get finance cheaper via a private investor, however this can be tricky in your first investment as investors tend to want to see a proven track record. Rob D also suggests that you can offer a return to someone you know who may wish to invest, but adds a note of caution to get everything documented!

Rob B suggests that you may wish to start off with the arranged finance in order to get a track record on paper that can help you successfully approach private investors later on, but reiterates the important of getting the numbers right on an investment such as this.
