The beginners guide to buy to let mortgages

This week it’s the beginners’ guide to buy-to-let mortgages. We’ve got our good friend Lisa Orme joining us to help us explain.

  • What you can and can’t use a BTL mortgage for
  • How much you can borrow: LTV and rental coverage
  • The boxes you need to tick as a borrower
  • How to choose the best deal (it’s about more than just the interest rate)

Tune in to this week’s podcast to find out more.

Rob D has been living in city centre holiday lets for over 18 months now, but his lifestyle could be in jeopardy. In the news this week The Sunday Times reports that cities are cracking down on people renting out their own apartments.

In Berlin, holiday lets are being banned completely from 2015.

Our resource this week is Focus@will: an app that supposedly uses special music to “get you into the zone” and help you concentrate for 90 minutes instead of the average 30.

Does it work? Rob B seems to think so, but let us know how you get on with it!
