We decided to turn an entire episode over to the book that seems to have inspired more property investors than any other – Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki (Amazon link).
The strange thing about the book is that it actually doesn’t say much about property, even though it was the catalyst for so many property empires. We decided to do something about it, and share how we think the lessons from the book can be applied to property.
The main things we discuss are:
This week’s news piece was an easy pick. The property story that the media couldn’t stop talking about: a landlord has claimed he’s cost thousands of pounds a year by students using fake tan. Apparently he had to throw out over 200 mattresses as a result…
Our resources of the week is an iPhone podcast special, with two resources that we’ve come across recently.
The first is Downcast, which replaces your iPhone’s native podcast app. It’s better in every way, with a big difference being that it downloads the shownotes to your device too. Shout-out to listener Guy Routledge for recommending it.
Rob B also recommends Instacast as an alternative.
Also, Swell is a podcast manager that helps you discover new podcasts automatically based on your listening habits. So if our recommendations aren’t enough to keep your commutes or walks full of great audio, give it a try!
Moneystepper featured The Property Podcast in its list of best personal finance podcasts – and there were mentions for Property News Radio and The Property Geek Podcast too. Thanks guys!
