TPP041:

Should you ignore goals during 2014

Merry Christmas! We hope you had a great one, but we also hope that as the turkey hangover fades, you start to turn your thoughts towards your goals for 2014.

So in this episode we posed a seemingly odd question: should you actually ignore your goals this coming year?

Well, that was an argument put forward by James Clear in a post we found about the idea of Goals v Systems, which we discussed in this episode. As you’ll discover, it certainly doesn’t mean you shouldn’t set goals at all. Take a listen and all will be revealed…

If you haven’t heard our previous episodes on goals, you might want to check out:

This week we asked you to take the 30 minutes you might normally dedicate to exploring a new piece of software or website that we recommend, and instead spend that time reflecting on what you’ve achieved in 2013.

If you’re a goal-focused and driven person, chances are you spend a lot of time beating yourself up about what you haven’t done, and not giving yourself enough credit for what you have achieved.

So give yourself a pat on the back, and share your achievements with us if you want to brag more publicly!

A reminder that The Property Hub Launch Party will be in London on Saturday 11 January!

It’s completely free, but you’ll need to book your place to let us know you’re coming.

Do you have any goal-setting tips of your own?

What do you make of the idea of forgetting about your goals and concentrating on systems?
