TPP102:

The best places to invest in 2015

Where’s the best place to invest in property in 2015? In this episode we share our opinions – and perhaps more importantly, our reasons behind them so you can do some research of your own.

We discuss:

  • Why to be wary when looking at certain affordability measures to decide if we’re in a bubble
  • Why we love London, but we’re not keen on its investment prospects right now
  • Where else in the country we would invest
  • The commuter belt areas that could do well this year
  • What to look for when assessing the investment prospects of any area
  • Why you might want to listen to Waitrose more than us (here’s where they’re opening this year)

It’s all in this week’s episode, so have a listen!

And in the news, landlords are to blame for lack of supply in the housing market, according to Rightmove.

Nothing to do with the complete lack of building enough houses for the last 10 years at least, then? But it’s interesting that supply is so restricted, as it suggests that prices will keep being squeezed upwards even when growth in prices elsewhere is hard to find.
