TPP122:

How to find a property sourcer

Investing in property is never going to happen unless you can find properties to buy in the first place. And rather than just buying whatever your local estate agent has in stock, you want to find the right property: a deal that ticks all your boxes, moves you closer to your goals and puts money in your pocket.

That takes a significant amount of time and shoe leather…unless you outsource the process to a property sourcer. If you’re short on time, having someone bringing the deals to you can hugely accelerate your progress – but there’s also the risk of getting taken for a ride by someone whose product doesn’t match up to their pitch.

In this episode we talk about what a sourcer is, why you might want to use one, where to find them, and how to assess whether they’re credible and trustworthy. Invest half an hour in listening to the episode, and you’ll be safe from the sharks and have a bunch of new ideas for how to grow your network and expand your property dealflow.

If you’re the kind of person who prefers talking to typing, you’ll enjoy the iPhone and iPad app Smart Record. It’s basically a supercharged voice memo tool that allows you to take notes, get them transcribed, and share to cloud services.

Android user? We’re sure similar apps are available, but you might also want to check out the voice notes feature included within Hub favourite Evernote.
