  1. Hi I'm new to the property hub and I am looking to start my first investment next year in Norwich. I just wanted to know if the majority of investors use interest only mortgages for buy to let property's? And also if I could get an example of how you would eventually pay off an interest only mortgage in a buy to let. Many thanks look forward to hearing from you! Scott
  2. Hello, I should be completing on a 3 bed property in Norwich in about 5-6 weeks. I will be converting this in to a 4 bed HMO so won’t be needing a license. Would you recommend sticking to the restrictions(fire alarms, fire doors etc...) as if it was a licensed HMO just in case rules change in the future? Many thanks Scott
  3. Hi All New to the forum and wanted to say hi I'm moving into new build developments for the first time, following many years in various construction businesses. i have a real passion that the buyer should be able to have a house that they can live very comfortably via space and low ongoing costs - due to lack of choices the buyers seem to forget their dreams and aspirations -unfortunately ending up with an identikit home the same as next door. So that is our mission is to provide - more choice - better design - cheap to run and healthy to live in Cheers Lee
  4. Hi Everyone, Just a quick post to introduce myself. I am a relatively newbie investor with my wife, Kerli, as we have been renting out our flat in Aberdeen for the past 2 years. We are looking to develop as landlords, to provide excellent accommodation to our tenants, as well as build a diversified portfolio in the UK. We look forward to attending the meet ups, getting to know people in the community and generally have fun through property! Cheers everyone! Archie
  5. Hi, i am planning on making my first investment in March/April this year. I have a strategy in mind but just need some tax advice before I get started. Does anyone have any recommendations for a property tax advisor in Norwich, preferably with HMO experience. Many thanks
  6. Hi Everyone I've had an offer accepted on a flat in Norwich. Does anyone have recommendations for solicitors in the area? Thanks for your suggestions regards, Chris
  7. Hey I've been looking to get started in property investment for a long time and have been listening to The Property Podcast since the days of Rick and was one of the first iTunes reviewers. I'm a young guy and also a first time buyer which has previously made it very difficult to get a mortgage in the past, but now seems much easier as some of the banks seem to be more willing to lend now. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of investing in Norwich? I know you don't necessarily have to invest in your home city but as this is my first investment I would feel much more comfortable and in control doing so. Cheers
