I have around £100K I will be investing in the coming months, and I really need to set out my strategy with a tax specialist to make sure my tax affairs are as efficient as possible...   3. Hello! I am new to the property hub, live in Potton, Central Beds. In property, we bought our own house a few years ago at the perfect time when nobody else wanted to buy so were quite lucky really. At the time I tried to look at it with investors' eyes as well, at least a bit. We have been saving religiously since then and are thinking of investing in property. There are no areas in particular I would prefer as self-managing is sort of out of the question, children plus lots of work! I read quite a few books on investing in general and some property related ones. What we want to achieve is 1200pcm income for us from property within the next 5 years. Not that much I think, likely doable and realistic. Skills ... I do like numbers and maths a lot which helps a bit I think. I got to the point of getting my head around BMV properly, however, almost every rightmove property is at least 20% too expensive, if not 30% when I crunch the numbers. I am not even terribly conservative. Maybe that's the point and one just has to make plenty of offers and hope for one to work. I am planning to attend one of the investor days at RMP as my work is 5 mins from them. All the best! Christian
