Cost of refurb for a 2 bed flat in Croydon
Charl3s posted a topic in Refurbs & DevelopingHi Guys, I’m just in the process of purchasing my first property, it is a repossessed 2 bedroom flat so is in need of modernisation. I would say the flat needs a full refurb which would include a new kitchen, bathroom, redecorating, flooring and a new boiler. The surveyor said the electrics and plumbing seem to be fine but may need changing in the near future, so I was thinking to get this down whilst I’m changing everything else. I just wanted to know how much would something like this cost to be done at a good level. In my head I’ve budgeted for about £20k - £25k. Would be great to get some realistic cost from those who have done this type of work. Also if you know any good trades people that could do the job I would really appreciate it if you could forward me their details. I’m based in Croydon. I have attached the floor plan so you can get an idea of the size. You Thanks Charles
Hi Would be grateful if anyone could recommend some good quality specialists for refurb work to be carried out. After the names of builders, roofers, plumbers, electricians and general handymen/women. Thanks in advance.
Dundee local trades
Martyn Taylor posted a topic in Contractor AdviceHello, I just about to compleat over the next few weeks on a BTL flat in Dundee. This is my second BTL, however, it is the first time I have invested in Dundee. I am starting to look into sourcing some local tradesmen to complete a relatively small refurbishment. If anyone has any recommendations for local Plumbers, Electricians, Kitchen fitter or carpenters? It would be very much appreciated. Thank you very much Martyn Taylor
Newbie looking for reliable contractors around Derby
annep posted a topic in Introduce yourselfHello I'm a newbie doing a light refurb on my own property in order to sell on and give me a little pot to re-invest in BTL for the long term. I have a gorgeous holiday let in Seahouses which is booked nearly year round and I aim to move up there within the next three years. I'm looking for a reliable builder/joiner and plumber for bathroom & kitchen refurb with view to forming a small team for BTL refurbs. All advice greatly appreciated, would prefer traders who you can actually recommend, having been let down so far.... Many thanks Anne

Hi I have just brought my first property. It is a repossessed property based in Woolwich Arsenal (London). I'm researching reputable builders and plumbers. I understand one way of finding reputable builders and plumbers is via word of mouth. I'd really appreciate it if anyone can advice me where to look or can make recommendations. Thanks
