Swansea?

Hello Welsh friends,

 

Whilst looking at some very expensive terraces in Reading a few weeks ago, the estate agent finally confessed to me that he wouldn't actually buy these himself but instead he was investing in south wales - HMO's mainly.  I then had a second property proffessional mention south wales as one to watch.

 

Im looking at properties in Swansea and the surrounding towns - does anyone have any thoughts on this area as an area to invest in?

The main speaker on the course I was on at the weekend is investing heavily in south Wales. He even lives there now.

I'm also interested in Swansea as my son has just started uni there.  I've been over a couple of times but it is a long way so I am also looking at remote research to narrow down.  Any local advice would be helpful.

Just completed on a place in Swansea, managed to get 7% ROI which for my first I was quite happy with. Had some local help. Don't think the capital growth will be all that in some areas but hey-ho.

Happy to help anyone with info on properties in the Swansea area. I have lived here all my life (with the exception of studying in London) and have a good understanding of surrounding areas and Swansea Central.

 

Indeed Capital growth in many areas in Swansea is a slow burner but BTL in Swansea is big business particularly Central.

Hello everyone! I have been reading that now due to the elimination of the tolls on the bridge property prices will increase soon in Wales. Which areas are best to buy property to refurb and sell?

I believe the main areas that will see capital growth after the tolls were lifted are probably going to be east of Newport.

Does anyone know of a good deal sourcer in Swansea? Looking to do some flips in that part of the world but I don’t live there so a good deal sourcer would be of use.
